The USAngling Youth Education Initiatives are based on the belief that the sport of angling is an important recreational, economic, and social activity on which the public must be educated to pursue in a manner that aligns with the USAngling’s mission of promoting responsible, ethical angling practices and environmental stewardship. The USAngling Youth Education Initiatives to teach youth and family around the nation to fish, to help build the next generation of ethical, conservation-minded anglers, and perhaps inspire the future Sport Fishing athlete that will represent the United States in World Championship Fishing Events, and FISH FOR GOLD!

The IGFA is a nonprofit organization committed to the conservation of game fish and the promotion of responsible, ethical angling practices, through science, education, rule making, record keeping and recognition of outstanding accomplishments in the field of angling.

Mission
Reconnect youth to nature, strengthen
family relationships, build stewardship of the environment, and provide positive primary outdoor experiences for children ages 6-16.

Fishing’s Future uses FAMILY FISH CAMPS© as a positive outdoor experience to achieve these goals. All Fishing’s Future events are provided as a free service to the public.
FAMILY FISH CAMP© teaches: water safety practices, fish identification, fish measurement, proper Catch & Release techniques, different types of rods and reels, fishing knots, State Fishing Regulations, participates do a bank clean-up as introduced to the “Leave-No-Trace” philosophy, have a snack lunch, then go fishing.

Mission
To increase the professionalism of their
members as they work to grow and protect sport fishing.

Membership is composed of professional guides, tournament anglers, angler educators and sport fishing/marine industry professionals who are passionate about the sport.

Many NPAA member anglers have taken their passion for sport fishing to a level where passion has evolved into a profession.

The FAF works to “Create New Anglers” by working with individuals and organizations throughout the United States to expose potential new anglers of all ages to the sport of fishing and educate them on how to catch fish and protect the resource.

We are able to do so through the use of networking and a hands-on grassroots approach that has proven to be extremely effective.

It is their opinion that participation in outdoor activities like fishing is at the core of the American way of life and essential to the future of our nation as we know it.

AQUATIC RESOURCES EDUCATION ASSOCIATION

 Founded 1994, AREA is dedicated to sound educational practices, stewardship and responsible use of aquatic resources, fisheries and habitats to enhance the quality of life for current and future generations.

AREA is organized for educational purposes.

AREA members include representatives of State, Federal, industry, fisheries and educational professionals involved in aquatic resource education programs.

Get Involved

The USAngling Youth Committee is seeking to partner with respected leaders in angling education, whose curriculum and programs align with the vision and mission of USAngling Confederation, and are committed to excellence in the safe delivery of program, activities, and events.

USAngling’s mission centers around three principles:

Competition: Develop teams to compete in amateur world championship sport fishing events. Host world championship, national championship, and national team qualification sport fishing events.

Conservation: Promote environmental stewardship, catch & release angling, responsible harvest initiatives, and natural resource management.

Community: Enrich local communities both economically and socially by conducting fishing events, educating local fishing clubs, and executing regional outdoor initiatives.
